In 2025, China's photovoltaic power generation will gradually become the main energy source

"From 2025, China's photovoltaic power generation will gradually become the main energy source." Cao Renxian, vice chairman of the China Power Supply Society and chairman of Sunshine Power Co., Ltd. said at the meeting. The "SNEC2019 International Solar Photovoltaic and Smart Energy (Shanghai) Exhibition and Forum" opened in Shanghai on June 3, and the participating experts focused on the development of global photovoltaics to start a discussion.

"2019 will be a milestone in the history of photovoltaic development, and global photovoltaics will quickly enter a new era of comprehensive parity." Gao Jifan, co-chair of the Global Solar Council and chairman of the China Photovoltaic Industry Association, said that with the release of domestic policies, domestic The market will recover. It is reported that on May 30th, the National Energy Administration issued the "Notice on Construction of Wind and Photovoltaic Power Generation Projects in 2019", clearly prioritizing the development of unsubsidized affordable grid-connected projects, and then carrying out competition allocation of projects that require state subsidies. This will be a major change for the wind power photovoltaic industry.

Due to the rapid decline in photovoltaic costs, the overseas market will grow in 2019, and the EU market will recover rapidly. Demand in the US market has rebounded sharply from last year. Southeast Asia, Latin America, the Middle East, and other countries and regions are developing rapidly. The trend of diversification of the photovoltaic market is becoming increasingly apparent. It is expected that this year, the overseas market will increase significantly from 60GW last year to about 85GW.

At the same time, China's photovoltaic industry has achieved good results after experiencing the decline of the "531" subsidy policy last year. According to Gao Jifan, at the manufacturing end, China ’s polysilicon output exceeded 250,000 tons, a year-on-year increase of more than 3.3%; silicon wafer output reached 109GW, a year-on-year increase of 19.1%; battery chip output was 87.2GW, a year-on-year increase of 21.1%, and module output was about 85.7GW, year-on-year Increased 14.3%, ranking first in the world for 12 consecutive years.

On the application side, domestic installed capacity of more than 44GW has maintained China's largest photovoltaic market position for six consecutive years. China's cumulative installed capacity exceeded 147GW, and by the end of last year, it had maintained the number one position in the world for four consecutive years. At the same time, the amount of abandoned photovoltaic power generation nationwide decreased by 1.8 billion kw / h year-on-year, and the rate of abandoned solar energy dropped by 2.8 percentage points year-on-year.

It is worth noting that China's photovoltaic energy development road is not smooth and there are still many problems. “At present, China ’s installed photovoltaic capacity is the world ’s largest, with statistics reaching 140 million kilowatts in 2018. However, the matching of power generation capacity and installed capacity is not enough.” Zhong Jun, special vice chairman of the China Energy Research Association, said that energy storage is The development of new energy needs to be solved. Energy storage is a reliable guarantee for our development of light energy and clean energy. "At the same time, long-distance transmission, insufficient subsidies, etc. cause the high cost and high cost of power generation. The key to solving these problems is energy storage technology." He said.
